Passion for Needy, a charitable organisation belonging to Nigerian-based Prophet TB Joshua has distributed items worth GH? 15,000 to survivors of the June 3 Circle twin disaster at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.

The items went to victims on admission at the 37th Military Hospital, some needy people, elderly persons and physically challenged people in Accra.

The disaster victims were given 30 bags of rice, and drugs such as painkillers, antibiotics and vitamins totalling GH? 5, 000.00 while the other beneficiaries received canned fish and various sums of money totaling GH?10, 000.00

Speaking at the presentation, Mrs Janet Torgbor El-Ashcker, Chairperson, Passion for Needy, said the donation formed part of Prophet Joshua’s contribution towards the wellbeing of the disaster survivors as well as ensuring that the less privileged in the society are also catered for.

She said the donation also marks the birthday of the prophet.

Mrs El-Ashcker expressed appreciation to government, corporate institutions and individuals for their assistance to the survivors.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospitals, Colonel Michael Yeboah- Agyemang, Acting Commanding Officer, called on all to support those on admission at the facility since they are being treated free of charge.

He expressed appreciation to Prophet Joshua for the donation, which he said is worth emulating.
