A Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidate from Adieyie in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem District of the Western Region collapsed after learning of the cancellation of the five papers by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
The female student, whose identity was not disclosed by an examination supervisor at the Fiaseman Senior High School, Baba Mohammed, fell down during an argument with a colleague on the exact number of papers cancelled by the examination body.
The West African examination this afternoon released a statement announcing that five examination papers had been cancelled.
The papers include English Language 2, Religious and Moral Education2, Integrated Science2 and Mathematics 2 and yet to be written Social Studies. The papers have been rescheduled for the 29 and 30th of June.
The cancellation, Deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO) of WAEC, Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe said was necessary after its investigations revealed that the papers had leaked and were circulating on social media.
Thus the candidate learning of it, collapsed in disbelief at the Fiaseman Senior High School center in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem District.
