Scores of youth in Tamale have vented their anger on staff of the Volta River Authority (VRA) and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) over the erratic power supply.

According to the irate youth, authorities of the power producing companies have been unfair to them by always turning off their lights even when their time is not due.

The actions, they explained, has affected business in the region.

The irate youth, according to reports, smashed some of the company’s properties with stones but the timely arrival of the police prevented them from causing more damage.

No arrest has so far been made.

Meanwhile, the Tamale Chief, Gulkpe Naa Alhassan Abdulai has admonished the youth not to take the law into their hands.
