ANOTHER tragedy has hit the All Nations University in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital, following the fall of a level 100 Oil and Gas student, Foachie Darlington, 17, from the last floor of the school's hostel Wednesday morning.
DAILY GUIDE sources confirmed that the student, who is from Aslyum Down in Accra, was spotted lying in the grass at the back of the hostel unconscious and was rushed to the Koforidua Central Hospital, but was pronounced dead 35 minutes after arrival.
Another source claimed that Darlington did not die but was rather rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for treatment.
Acheamfour Owusu, the University Public Relations Officer in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, said the school management had a distress call from a security man that the student was found lying unconscious in the grass.
He added that it was unclear to them what caused Darlington to fall from the last floor of the facility, known as Ebenezer Hostel.
This is the second time such a tragedy has occurred in the university after one Benedicta Nana Ama Esi Adu, a 22-year-old female student, had fallin from a four-storey building in March this year.
Esi Adu fell during a Christian fellowship following a day of prayers and fasting.
